When CN announced plans to scrap yet another rural railway, farmers in the Battle River region resolved to take control of their own economic destiny and keep their train - ensuring a future for their communities.

  • so too are grain elevators. Where close to 6000 “prairie cathedrals”
  • once existed across the west, only 300 or so are still standing

What a great success story for this group of cooperative prairie farmers. Good for them for "getting 'er done" and good for NFB for telling it so beautifully!
